Amenaide in Tancredi rifatto

  • The Performing Arts Center (map)

Ms. Lyons joins Teatro Nuovo to sing the role of Amenaide in an exciting new production of Tancredi. In Rossini’s time, when an opera was re-mounted in a new city, the composer would write some new music for it. Over time, Rossini wrote alternate pieces for practically half the score. Tancredi rifatto (Tancredi re-made) is a different score, with some of Rossini’s best music, most of it unknown even to Rossini fans.
